Scott Thomson Media is the creative and commercial outlet of Jim Scott and Richard Thomson. On this site we describe what we do, who we are, how to get hold of us, and some of the things that are currently interesting and exciting us.

Our primary expertise is in presenting information. The world is awash with media, but simplicity, clarity and immediacy can be harder to find. We were both once print journalists, and as a result we like things to be wrapped in a good story. Clear writing and precise editing help it along no end. Mostly, we still handle print publishing projects of various kinds – both typography and design and print management – but our media interests now extend to include online media and video production.

This is the 2009 version of our site and as of February there are still a few rough edges. Although we could have waited until all the design details had been finely honed, it seemed like time for a change. So call it work in progress. We hope you like it.
